“Happy Chinese New Year” was a complete success

On the evening of February 11, the “Happy Chinese New Year” Gala, co-sponsored by the China Association of Portland and the Tianjin Culture, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, kicked off at Cleveland High School. For the first time, the party welcomed a domestic professional performance group to participate in the Portland Spring Festival Gala, which opened a new chapter in the history of Chinese culture in Honshu.
That night, the double-seat performance hall was full of unprecedented grandeur. A total of more than 1,000 people from the Oregon and Washington District Overseas Chinese Associations, groups and related officials and audiences from all over the world attended the party. Three people including the deputy consul general of the Chinese Consulate General in San Francisco, Cha Liyou, the speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives Tina Kotek, and many local dignitaries, business and cultural celebrities watched the party. Media such as KATU TV, Tianjin TV, Portland News and Overseas Chinese Voice also went to the scene for interviews.
The Beautiful Tianjin Art Troupe brought many award-winning programs and excellent shows from the Song and Dance Theatre and Acrobatic Troupe. It brought together a selection of acrobatics, songs, dances, and instrumental performances, and brought a strong Chinese style and nostalgia to the audience. At the same time, there were also six carefully selected local programs participating in the evening party. Together with the Tianjin Art Troupe, a joyous and visual feast for the audience was presented.
